Our course philosophy

A few thoughts on employee training

Improving employee knowledge and skills is essential to raising workplace performance. An important part of improving workplace performance is solving the problem of meeting the demand for employee training. A serious problem has arisen in that traditional training sessions and workshops have not kept pace with the training needs for many organizations and businesses. Various internet training systems have been developed in response to these needs. Unfortunately, many online training programs are nothing more than old training materials transferred to a new format.

We're not like those other folks.

What TeKnow does differently

TeKnow courses focus on assisting the student in developing a lasting understanding of course objectives. We do this by:

  • using authentic examples and real-world situations to explain key concepts,
  • immediately checking for understanding after a key concept is presented,
  • asking questions that trigger memories of prior experiences or situations, and finally,
  • providing remediation as part of the quiz grading process, which reinforces the concept with explanations of the answers.

Each key concept is presented to the student a minimum of three times in order to develop long-term retention of the information presented. To view a sample course, please proceed to our Demonstration page.
